1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of meetmymatesabroad.com and its associated services (the “Service”).

The Service is a personal hobby project operated by MeetMyMatesAbroad (“MeetMyMatesAbroad”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. The Service

MeetMyMatesAbroad helps users:

• search travel locations and dates;
• save search queries as trips;
• connect with friends by username;
• invite friends to trips; and
• share saved-trip information with selected friends.

MeetMyMatesAbroad is a trip-planning and information service. It is not a travel agent, airline, booking platform or transport provider.

The Service is provided without charge. There are no paid plans, payment facilities or purchases through the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service.

By using the Service, you confirm that:

• you are at least 18;
• you have legal capacity to agree to these Terms; and
• the information you provide is accurate and does not impersonate another person.

The Service is intended for personal and non-commercial use.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

You must:

• provide an email address that belongs to you;
• keep access to your email account and login credentials secure;
• promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised account access; and
• use only your own account unless you have permission to act for another person.

You may not create accounts through bots or other automated means without our written permission.

We may rely on instructions received through your authenticated account. We are not responsible for losses caused by your failure to secure your email account or credentials, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Friends, invitations and shared trips

You control which users you connect with and which trips you share.

When you share a trip, selected information—including locations, dates and associated usernames—may become visible to the users with whom you share it.

You must not:

• impersonate another person;
• use a misleading username to deceive others;
• repeatedly send unwanted invitations;
• use the Service to harass, threaten or monitor another person;
• add unlawful, abusive or privacy-infringing information to a trip; or
• share another person’s personal information without an appropriate reason or permission.

You are responsible for checking your sharing selections before sharing a trip.

A recipient may remember or independently record information they were permitted to view, even if you later remove access or delete your account.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

• break any applicable law or regulation;
• infringe another person’s privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or another account;
• probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities without written permission;
• interfere with the operation, security or availability of the Service;
• scrape, copy or extract data through automated means except as expressly permitted;
• overload or place unreasonable demands on the Service;
• evade technical limitations or security controls; or
• use information obtained through the Service for spam, stalking, fraud or other harmful conduct.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate steps to protect the Service and its users.

7. Travel and third-party information

Travel information displayed through the Service may come from third-party sources, including the Ryanair API.

Search results may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or out of date. Schedules, availability, routes, prices and other travel details can change without notice.

Before making plans or purchases, you must verify important information directly with the relevant airline or travel provider.

MeetMyMatesAbroad:

• does not sell or issue tickets;
• does not process reservations or payments;
• is not a party to transactions between you and a travel provider;
• cannot guarantee that a route, date, fare or service will be available; and
• is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Ryanair.

Your dealings with third-party travel providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Your content and information

You retain your rights in the trip information and other content you enter into the Service.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and display that information only as needed to:

• provide and secure the Service;
• save and synchronise your searches and trips;
• share information with users you select;
• provide support you request; and
• comply with applicable law.

This licence ends when the relevant information is deleted, except for temporary backup copies and information we must lawfully retain.

You confirm that you have the right to submit and share the information you add to the Service.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service—including its software, design, branding and original content—is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

The MeetMyMatesAbroad name and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement without our written permission.

Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Availability and changes

MeetMyMatesAbroad is a free personal hobby project. We aim to keep it useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may:

• maintain, repair or update the Service;
• add, change or remove features;
• impose reasonable usage or technical limits; or
• suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of a material change or discontinuation that significantly affects active users.

We do not provide a service-level or uptime guarantee.

11. Account deletion, suspension and termination

You may delete your account through the account settings. Account deletion will remove your access and initiate deletion of your account information and saved searches as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary because:

• the user has materially or repeatedly breached these Terms;
• the account creates a security or legal risk;
• the account is being used fraudulently or abusively;
• we are required to do so by law; or
• continuing to provide the account is no longer reasonably practicable.

Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. We may act immediately where necessary to prevent harm, protect security or comply with law.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy.

By using sharing features, you instruct us to make the selected trip information available to the users you choose.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that:

• the Service will always be available, secure or error-free;
• search results will be complete, accurate or current;
• third-party services or APIs will remain available;
• particular travel options will be suitable for you; or
• defects will always be corrected.

Nothing in these Terms affects warranties, remedies or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory rights available to consumers.

14. Limitation of liability

MeetMyMatesAbroad is a free personal hobby project. Although we use reasonable care in operating the Service, it is not a professional travel, booking or advisory service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

• inaccurate, incomplete or outdated travel information supplied by third parties;
• decisions, bookings, expenses or travel arrangements made based on information displayed through the Service;
• acts or omissions of airlines, travel providers or other users;
• interruptions, errors, data loss or unavailability beyond our reasonable control;
• unauthorised account access caused by a user’s failure to protect their credentials; or
• indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the Service.

You remain responsible for confirming all important travel information directly with the relevant airline or travel provider.

This section does not restrict any mandatory legal rights or remedies available to you.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, security requirements or the operation of the project.

We will update the date at the top when changes are made. We will provide reasonable additional notice of material changes affecting account holders.

Changes will apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland.

If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which you normally live.

The Polish courts will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law allows or requires proceedings to be brought in another country, including the country where a consumer normally lives.

17. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent.

Responsibility for the Service and these Terms may be transferred as part of a legitimate reorganisation or change in operation, provided this does not reduce any mandatory rights you have.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and us concerning the Service.
